Your home is one of the biggest investments that you will make. Choosing the right home inspector for this major investment can be difficult. There are many good inspectors out there, but unfortunately there are also some that are not so good.

Even if you don't choose my company, don't go with a cheap inspection. Make sure the inspector is insured ask for a verification of there E+O insurance. Also confirm that they are members of good standing in an association with continuing education requirments.

Be watchful of inspectors that are real close to realtors. And be real careful with inspectors that offer to make repairs.That clearly is a conflict of interest as stated in the California bussiness and professions code for home inspectors section 7197.

Different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods, and yes, different pricing. One thing for sure is that a home inspection requires work, a lot of work. Ultimately a thorough inspection depends heavily on the individual inspector's own effort.
